The New World species, including that pictured, are not truly Pseudicius. The true Pseudicius are heliophanines and strictly Old World.

Three North American species have been placed here: Pseudicius piraticus, Pseudicius monticola and Pseudicius siticulosus. The first is now placed in Paramarpissa (of uncertain relationships), the second in Phanias. The remaining species, shown above, is P. siticulosus. It is a dendryphantine.

For more information and links to the species, go to Pseudicius in the Tree of Life.
