My professional training is in neuroscience (Ph.D. University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, 1998) and genetics. I am currently a scientific curator for the Zebrafish Information Network (zfin.org), where I manage research data involving the genetics/genomics of the zebrafish (Danio rerio). I have a general interest in documenting the biodiversity in my local environment..wherever that may take me. I enjoy traveling, and hope I can contribute something useful to the ToL.
