Type Locality

"A roadside ditch on the property of the Union Elementary School at the intersection of State Route 79 and County Road 18, Section 22, Perry Township, Coshocton County, Ohio, (2.1 airkm NW of Carlisle; 5.6 km SSE of New Guilford)" (Jezerinac, 1993).

Distribution and Range

"West of the Applachian Mountains in southwestern Pennsylvania, the eastern two-thirds of Ohio, northern and eastern Kentucky, northeastern Tennessee, and western West Virginia" (Jezerinac et al., 1995).

Habitat

Secondary or primary burrower (Jezerinac et al., 1995).

Conservation Status

Currently stable (Taylor et al., 1996).
