Introduction
A peculiar group of salticids currently most commonly collected in Madagascar, though known from other areas of Africa and Asia. They have distinctive constrictions near the small eyes. Along with the spartaeine-like salticids, the hisponines are commonly represented in fossils from the Baltic amber.
