    1. 1.5 cm long, 1 cm wide; separated from each other by 3.5 cm.

  4. Gills
    1. "The gill consists of 6 adjacent swellings which consist of zigzag-shaped lamellae with short lateral branches."

  5. Funnel

Comments

The above description is taken from Thiele (in Chun, 1915) which had very few details. A redescription of animals from the type locality is badly needed. At present the locality is the only feature that distinguishes this species.

Distribution

Type locality: 0°57.5'S, 99°51.1'E, Mentawei Basin, off Sumatra, eastern Indian Ocean, 768 m.

This page is a Tree of Life Leaf Page.

Each ToL leaf page provides a synopsis of the characteristics of a group of organisms representing a leaf at the tip of the Tree of Life. The major distinction between a leaf and a branch of the Tree of Life is that a leaf cannot generally be further subdivided into subgroups representing distinct genetic lineages.

For a more detailed explanation of the different ToL page types, have a look at the Structure of the Tree of Life page.
