Scientific Name | Trogium pulsatorium |
---|---|
Location | Baiting Hollow, Suffolk County, New York, USA |
Comments | I found this on an unused screen porch. There is a little colony of them living on a piece of paper with what looks like scattered bug parts. They seem to be eating the "bug parts" and I have seen them push another away on approach. They scoot around quickly. They appear to be quite flat, but I was not able to get a lateral view. |

Location | Baiting Hollow, Suffolk County, New York, USA |
Comments | The one on the left has been eating (I think eating) a pile of what looks like insect parts for the last 10 minutes. He has just chased off the intruder on the right. |
