Comments The spider was beautifully camouflaged and well placed to catch the small bee. However, it evidently rejected the bee as prey and did not attempt a catch. The bee fed for about a minute, oblivious to the spider, then left.

Comments The dardanus male (below) is monomorphic and non-mimetic, pale yellow with dark brown borders. Females are polymorphic mimics, of several distasteful models, and do not resemble the male at all.
