Mara Galvão Magenta
Professor Mara is an expert in Heliantheae (Asteraceae) currently involved in a project financed by FAPESP (Foundation for Research of the State of São Paulo) that seeks the phylogeny of species of South American Viguiera Kunth (now in Aldama La Llave), based on morphological and molecular data and evolution of sesquiterpene lactones. She also conducts research on ecology in areas of Atlantic Forest.
