Nellosana minima

Smallest known species of Nellosana, ranging 0.54-0.58 mm. in length. Form (robust, long, narrow) and color (pale reddish-brown) similar to that of other Nellosana (Johnson, 1982).

Mesosternal process possesses a longitudinal median carina, similar to that of Nellosana elegantula.

As with other Nellosana, this species occurs in New Zealand (Auckland, Northland). It has been collected from decayed wood, and on a branch of Knightia sp. "infested with Trametes cinnabarinus", suggesting a fungus-host association.
