Introduction
This old world genus (Afrotropical, Oriental and Australasian) contains nine valid species.
Characteristics
Collinias are the only pipunculids with an additional cross vein on the third costal section of the wing. Other characters shared only with Microcephalops include a swollen frons, narrow face and narrow discal medial cell (not expanded medially).
