Introduction

Dyschoriste is a pantropical genus of perhaps 50 species. Taxa have four, fertile stamens with anther appendages. Several species have a region of hyaline tissue between calyx lobes, a trait also found in some Duosperma, Petalidium, and Suessenguthia.
