Josia aurifluaJames S. Miller and Andrew V. Z. Brower
IntroductionA member of a complex of Josia species with broad orange radial forewing bands and the posterior part of the hindwing yellow-orange. J. auriflua is distributed from Bolivia to French Guiana.
CharacteristicsJ. auriflua may be distinguished from other members of the aurifusa group by the extensive yellow-orange coloration on the posterior region of the hindwing. Miller (2009) indicates that the genitalia are almost indistinguishable from those of J. aurifusa.
