Ortholexis
the Scarce Sprites
Andrew V. Z. Brower- Ortholexis hollandi
- Ortholexis holocausta
- Ortholexis dimidia
Nomenclature
Larsen (2005) elevated the three species in this genus from Katreus Watson and placed them in Loxolexis Karsch. However, the type of Loxolexis is Loxolexis percnaptera Karsch, which is a junior subjective synonym of the type species of Katreus, Astictopterus johnstonii Butler. Therefore, Loxolexis is a synonym of Katreus, and these species are assigned to Ortholexis, the type species of which is O. melichroptera (a synonym of O. holocausta (Mabille)).References
