Discussion of Phylogenetic Relationships
The traditional genus Phyllomyias is polyphyletic (Tello et al. 2009, Ohlson et al. 2008), and the remaining species, which may or may not form a clade, may be found in Euscarthmini under the name Tyranniscus.References
