Ankylomyrma coronacantha
Characteristics
Ankylomyrma has the following derived characters (Bolton 2003):- Visible gaster consists only of the ball-shaped and vastly hypertrophied tergite of abdominal segment IV
- Gaster with only a single functional spiracle opening to the outside (that of abdominal segment IV)
