Gyrocheilus
Gyrocheilus patrobas
Andrew V. Z. BrowerIntroduction
Gyrocheilus patrobas occurs in Arizona and northern Mexico.
The phylogenetic position of Gyrocheilus has been problematical. Miller (1968) placed it in Pronophilina, mainly on biogeographical grounds. DNA sequences group it with Pyronia (Brower and Wahlberg, unpubl.).
