Scea auriflamma described in Josia

Unlike most Scea, S. auriflamma ranges broadly from Amazonian Peru to southeastern Brazil and Argentina. It is superficially most similar to the slightly larger but genitalically distinct Scea steinbachi (Miller 2009). Larvae are unknown.Characteristics
Adult Scea auriflamma have orange patches on the basal 2/3 of the forewings (except for the anal margin), with black scaling on most veins reaching not quite to the distal edge of the orange patch. Hindwings are black. .References
