Introduction
A new genus erected by Miller (2009) to accommodate species formerly grouped in Polypoetes, but exhibiting differences in antennal and tympanal structures. The rare and rather drab species occur in trans-Amazonian cloud forests from Costa Rica to Venezuela and western Ecuador. Life histories are unknown.Characteristics
Argentala is distinguished from Polypoetes and Pikroprion by its combination of subserrate antennae (in males) and long labial palpi (Miller, 2009).References
