Types

Holotype, Museum of Victoria, Melbourne J902 (female); paratypes, Museum of Victoria, Melbourne 911 and J11619 (4 female, male).

Type Locality

Dandenong Creek, at Alpine Road, East of Melbourne, Victoria.

Distribution

This species has been found in the Dandenong Ranges, east of Melbourne. Its occurence near Mt. Donna Buang is odd and the eastward extension of its range is in need of clarification. It is not likely to be found west of Mt. Dandenong.

Habitat

The habitat utilisations and seperations for the three species E. urostrictus, E. tuberculatus, and Euastacus woiwuru Morgan are described in detail in Horwitz et al. (1985a) and summarised in Horwitz & Richardon (1986).
