Palaeonympha opalina
Andrew V. Z. BrowerIntroduction
A monotypic genus from Taiwan and the only Old World representative of a mainly neotropical subtribe. Palaeonympha was hypothesized to be affiliated with Euptychiina by Miller (1968), and this is supported by the DNA-based study of Peña et al. (2006).
