To help you learn to identify the jumping spiders of America north of Mexico, some good beginning books are the Levi, Levi and Zim Spiders and Their Kin, a Golden Guide, and Kaston's How to Know the Spiders. The most detailed modern key to the genera is that of Richman (1978), of which an updated version appears in Vince Roth's book on spider genera. The last comprehensive treatment of salticids north of Mexico was done by Peckham and Peckham (1909). Below are various references relevant to salticids north of Mexico.
