Lessons, activities, and projects differ from the basic "other" teacher resource format and from other treehouses in that they have an "add support materials step". You can add worksheets, graphic organizers, assessments and other "helper" documents to lessons, projects and activities by either uploading a document to the ToL or typing into a text field the information you want to use as a support material. In this step you can also add a "learner section". The Learner Section is a web page that students can go to in order to follow instructions and access materials for the lesson.

All Teacher Resource Editing forms differ from the basic format for other treehouses in that they have a step for adding portfolio pages. You can use the add portfolio page option to integrate a group of resources for teaching and learning about a subject or concept.

The main content page of lessons, activities, and projects differ from the basic "other" teacher resource format and from other treehouses. These teacher resource formats have fields for:
- learning objective
- preparation
- prior knowledge
- physical materials and tools
- introduction
- main lesson, project or activity content
- evaluation
For these types of teacher resources we don't require you to fill out every field, but we expect that you will complete the learning objective and main lesson, project or activity content section.

All Teacher Resource Editing forms also have an expanded Learning Information section with many fields that you can fill out to assist teachers in finding the best resources for their classrooms. You can also add state and national education standards by typing them into a text field or by adding them as documents.
